RVN overcomes household tragedy to be named excellent pupil

A Cambridgeshire RVN who endured the demise of her father throughout her research has been given an impressive pupil award.

Kianna Citadel, who works on the Village Vet apply in Whittlesford, close to Cambridge and educated with the School of West Anglia, and Anglia Ruskin College, acquired the prize throughout a commencement ceremony in King’s Lynn.

The award recognised each her educational success, and the emphasis she positioned on animal welfare and ethics, in addition to the help she gave to her colleagues.

Dedication

Miss Citadel devoted her award to her father Paul, a sports activities psychology lecturer on the College of Worcester, who died in the course of the first 12 months of her diploma programme.

She mentioned: “The ceremony was extraordinarily emotional as I might have liked nothing greater than for my dad to have seen me that day.

“He was an integral a part of me repeatedly pushing myself and taught me to have a optimistic outlook on life.

“I’ll all the time present enthusiasm for my career and for what I’ve achieved, all the time striving to make my household and myself proud.”

Asset to vet nursing

Rebecca Gilbert, the Whittlesford apply’s medical director, mentioned: “Kianna is an asset to the veterinary nursing career, as recognised by this wonderful honour.

“We’re very proud that she is a part of the Village Vet workforce and her angle to studying can also be mirrored in her dedication to animal care.”
